My second great grandfather, Christopher Frederic Kohler (a.k.a. C.F. Kohler) and his family lived in Wichita Falls circa 1884 and lived there for approximately 10 ten years. Newspaper accounts describe him as businessman owning properties on Ohio Ave. I do not live in the area. Any suggestions for online resources available for this time period? Or a person in the area willing to do lookups? Thank you! Valerie Hilton

Hi Valerie! I am still working on this new website for the NTGA. I can pass your comment on at our next meeting in case people don't see your question on here. Do you know any of the business names he might have worked under? The research links on this site might point your in a direction, but you might also check out these fire maps. They give some pretty good detail of downtown WF in those early days. http://legacy.lib.utexas.edu/maps/sanborn/w.html
